The house where Santa Rosa lived, from a poor abode, is today a museum exhibition of objects pertaining to the life of the saint and others made in her honor over time.
This museum is home to the ancient scriptorium of the Cistercian abbey and dates back to the first half of the 13th Century. The atmosphere of the scriptorium is elegant and vast. The room has a rectangular layout and is placed across from a courtyard.

The house where Saint Rosa once lived is now part of the Monastery of the Clarisse di Santa Rosa. Before arriving at the monastery dedicated to the saint (along via Casa di Santa Rosa), there is a plaque that marks the spot where ” The virgin St. Rose was born and lived”.
Situated on the ground floor of the Palazzo Brugiotti is a splendid example of post-Renaissance architecture built in the second half of the sixteenth century. The museum comprises over 440 square meters, filled with items from northern Lazio the Medieval and Renaissance periods, as well as an adjoining “unexpected” garden decorated with a wealth of sculpture-laden fountains. This complex is owned by CARIVIT foundation (Ente Cassa di Risparmio della Provincia di Viterbo) and has been open to the public since June 22, 1996.
Located in the medieval district of San Pellegrino, il Museo del Sodalizio dei facchini di S. Rosa, or in English the Museum of the Association of the porters of Santa Rosa, is located in a space donated by the City Hall (Comune of Viterbo) in 1978.
Mr. Paternesi curated the Preparation of the Museum of the hill of the Duomo; it was possible thanks to the financial support of the Roman Capital commission with the funds of the 2000 Giubileo (Jubilee). The properties and materials they exposed belong to the Cathedral of Viterbo.
Located in the monumental complex of Santa Maria della Verità, the Civic Museum of Viterbo has its origins in the exhibition of Etruscan discoveries, started in the city as early as the fifteenth century.
