To know the birth of the Consortium Library of Viterbo, we must go back in time, exactly in February 1973, when with the aim of bringing together the two pre-existing city libraries – the provincial “Anselmo Anselmi” and the municipal “Ardenti” merged under a single entity but with separate offices as we still find them divided today. After a temporary dissolution of the Consortium in 1994, the institution resumed its activity as the Viterbo Consortium Library in 1996.
